Day 4: Arenal

(B, D) Get ready to sail through the air for this morning tour. You’ll head over to the Sky Adventures Park where you’ll ride up the side of a mountain on open-air gondolas, enjoying views of the volcano to the side and the lake below. Once at the top, the real adventure begins. You’ll glide your way to the bottom on 2 miles / 3km of zip line cables.

In the afternoon, you’ll hike along the base of the Arenal Volcano to the 1968 lava flows. You’ll have yet another perspective of the volcano, the lake, and the surrounding mountains on this activity. After the hike, you’ll be ready for a relaxing soak in natural volcanic thermal springs and a hearty dinner.

Day 5: Arenal – Manuel Antonio

(B) Today, you’ll take a private transfer from Arenal in the middle of the country to Manuel Antonio, located on the central Pacific coast. The ride itself will give you a great opportunity to appreciate some of the different geographies and climates of Costa Rica.

Spend the afternoon exploring the hotel’s facilities, which include complimentary access to the hotel’s butterfly atrium, crocodile lagoon, and amphibian jungle.

Day 6: Manuel Antonio

(B) This morning, you’ll get a chance to visit the favourite Manuel Antonio, National Park. This protected land is formed around the Punta Cathedral, which often looks like a whale’s tail. Here, you’ll find three unique beaches and a wide variety of protected flora and fauna. There’s a trail to the highest point in the park, where you can see the ocean and rainforest from up high, before enjoying some time relaxing on the beach.

In the afternoon, you’ll be able to choose to go back to the national park, unwind at the hotel, or explore the surroundings on your own. (Note that the national park is closed on Mondays. This activity will be rescheduled to another day, if necessary.)
