Ecuador DMC: Andando Tours

Established in 1992 by Galapagos Islands local Fiddi Angermeyer, Andando Tours was born from a love of Ecuador and a passion to share its beauty with the rest of the world. All forms of travel are expertly managed, from bespoke itineraries to more affordable, fixed-departure tours and private and shared excursions. The country’s key attractions are naturally available (often at highly competitive rates), yet years of experience and amassed local knowledge has allowed Andando Tours to operate in areas not offered by other companies, like the Antisana and Illiniza volcanoes and the gorgeous Piñan Lakes.

The Galapagos, naturally, remain a speciality. Trips can be arranged on a wide range of vessels or at land-based hotels, but the final word should go to their own vessels:

S/S Mary Anne – the only three-masted schooner in the islands, with a capacity for 34 but carrying just 16 passengers, the only ship to offer eight single cabins without any supplement.

M/Y Passion – the new “jewel in our crown”. At 48.5 metres spread over three decks, newly refitted, retaining many original fittings, the yacht boats a unique amount of space to pamper its 12 guests – four spacious state cabins with en suite bathrooms and two VIP cabins with twin bathrooms and lounge areas.

The sumptuous and beautifully appointed social areas comprise a panoramic sky lounge and bar, separate dining room, spacious sun decks with a further secluded sun deck with Jacuzzi, and to complete the experience, a gourmet chef and one staff member per guest!
